    Duration
    There is no time limit as to how long guests can stay on the observation decks during operating hours. The average length of stay is about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

  • Once in Manhattan, travel by foot or take the MTA NYC Transit. The orange B, D, F, and M trains stop at the 47th-50th Streets Rockefeller Center station.

    B D F M TRAINS
    Take the B, D, F, or M train to the 47th-50th Street Rockefeller Center stop.
    1 TRAIN
    Take the 1 train to the 50th Street stop and walk east on 50th Street to Rockefeller Center between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
    6 TRAIN
    Take the 6 train to the 51st Street stop and walk west on 50th Street to Rockefeller Center between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
    N Q R TRAINS
    Take the N, Q, or R train to the 49th Street stop and walk east on 49th Street to Rockefeller Center between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
  • Buses
    Fifth Avenue (going south) or Madison Avenue (going north)
    Take the M1, M2, M3, M4 or M5 bus to 50th Street. Buses run north and south.
    From Broadway
    Take the M7 bus. Exit at 50th Street and walk east to Rockefeller Center. Buses run north and south.
    From 49th and 50th streets
    Take the M50 bus. Exit between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue. Buses run east and west.

  • This activity is wheelchair accessible.
  • Children of all ages can participate in this activity.

Additional Notes

  • This activity operates regardless of weather.
  • Pets are prohibited at Top of the Rock. Service animals, however, are allowed.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed on the observation decks.
  • Entries during designated sunset times are an additional 10 USD per ticket.
  • Items that present a danger to the safety of visitors and employees will not be permitted in the building or on the observation decks. These items include, but are not limited to, weapons and knives of any kind, lighters, glass bottles, and flammable substances.
  • Strollers are permitted, however, they must be collapsible.
  • Tripods or professional video cameras are also not allowed on the observation deck.
  • Top of the Rock operates on a timed ticketing system. You can select the time and date upon the purchasing of your ticket online or at the Box Office.
  • Unscheduled tickets are also available. However, unscheduled tickets must be exchanged for timed tickets at the Box Office before entry.
